The survival of man, animals (both aquatic and terrestrial), and the environment is of utmost important. An environment that is not conducive for human, animals is not fit for habitation. It is the need to safeguard the life and continuous existence of man and animals that led to the birth of the Sanitation/Environment Group.
The team is expected amongst others to:- • Examine environmental problems around their area of coverage vis a vis the existing laws on the protection of the environment; • Study existing blueprint on environmental/sanitation issues (if any) with a view to making necessary review(s); • Identify one widespread problem in relation to environmental/sanitation issues; • Produce a draft proposal on the problem must be such that outlines practical ways of tackling the identified problem; • Facilitate meetings with relevant authorities in the Local Government on environmental issues. • Design a programme in relation to this mandate. The coverage area is Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
